Cleansing a Home

I am a paranormal investigator and was working a case.

The client was telling us that their children where seeing dark people (as the kids called it), and wouldn't sleep in their beds. Stuff would go missing or end up in different places.

Then the mom saw an apparition of a child, which almost scared her to death.

Now I believe in the paranormal and I'm fully on the scientific side of the debate and I rationalized it as spots on my eyes from the motorcycle headlight so I closed them and I saw no spots, then telling myself it wouldn't be there when I opened them boom, there she was a little further across walking as though she were crippled with arthritis.

My Little Old Woman

Submitted by: Steve Ripley

So here is my little experience that made me realize that my beliefs were valid after wondering about the paranormal since I was a kid afraid to go into the basement alone.

I live on Beatty st at the base of the big hill, and one summer evening a couple of years ago I was standing down where we park our cars to see my daughter and her friend off after a visit. She was chatting about how things would be shaping up for school, when I looked down the street toward the railroad tracks just as a motorcycle started up the road toward me and my attention moved to it.

He was scared to death. He and my cousin got on their four wheelers and sped out of the holler.

Visitor On A Kentucky Farm

Submitted by: Shannon

Hello , I live in eastern Kentucky and this is what has been occurring in my area.

First I'll tell you about my Dad and cousin's encounter. One day he was hunting with my cousin Sam .

While in a Tree stand he heard a scream or yell.

I saw what I can only say was a nasty demon. That is the only thing I can think of. It was horrific and a bit traumatizing. I will never be the same.

My Sleep Paralysis Experience

Submitted by: Heddy Johannesen

I experienced something terrifying as I was sleeping. I had sleep paralysis.

But it was what I saw while I had sleep paralysis that forever changed my belief in demons and spirits and what the demon did.

The entire experience was thankfully a dream.

My wife woke up because she heard me talking. I told her what happened.

My Late Night Visitors

Submitted by: Pierre Ferri

Six years ago I lost my mother.

Two nights later I was in bed sleeping, and I was awoken by two figures at the end of my bed.

It was my mother and another lady.

I have to say that growing up I never really believed him, until I was late returning home one evening while riding Grandfather's snow cat.

The Wendigo

submitted by: Dylon Whyte

Hi, I'm Dylon and I like collecting Fortean stories. This one was told to me by a friend who was raised by his Grandfather on the Island. He preferred not to share the exact location or individuals involved.

I was just a young boy when Grandfather first told me stories of "the Windeego", a malicious spirit which inhabited the small lake beside his cabin that would sometimes tip canoes and try to drown children.

I have to say that growing up I never really believed him, until I was late returning home one evening while riding Grandfather's snow cat.

Is This Photo Proof That Bigfoot & Humans Share A Common Ancestor?

Bigfoot researchers have long supposed that the legendary cryptid is a primate, and therefore related to modern humans.

Recently discovered photo examinations which originate from Shawnee, Oklahoma may hold an important clue.

William Bradley has long held an interest in Sasquatch. Himself a native of Shawnee, Bradley states that Oklahoma has long been a hot bed of Bigfoot activity.

Bradley claims to have multiple talents which have helped him discover the truth.

When Hunting For Bigfoot, Look Up.
Way up.

Regular readers to ParaNorthern on Facebook or our website know that I am officially a Bigfoot skeptic. Even though I want to believe that a large primate inhabits the considerable wilderness of the North American continent, most of the so called evidence falls into the category of Bollocks. (Ask someone British.)

So when I read recently that some Sasquatch hunters are suggesting that we look to the tree tops for sleeping Bigfoot I laughed out loud. I could not picture something of the supposed mass of of this bipedal cryptid climbing a tree to get a good night's rest.

But then I saw this video.
